Our Guelph client is looking to add a new member to their team! The position is for a Junior Accounting Clerk. The company is a small growing company in the health and safety equipment field and has a fantastic team of professionals that make up the staff base.

The Junior Accounting Clerk position requires the incumbent to be efficient, effective and accurate in all areas of their work. This role is responsible for working with the Accounting Coordinator to assist with accounting and administrative related duties. Duties are listed below but will range from Accounts Payable to reception work to filing.

Previous work in accounting including Accounts Payable, report writing, data entry and reception work will assist the individual in this position to be most effective in their job. Someone who will do well in this position is the person who thinks outside of the box, digs in and loves to make a difference.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Accounts Payable, matching product receipts, packing slips and invoices, verifying information
• Entering Accounts Payable into data base
• Vendor reconciliations
• Vendor correspondence
• Posting customer payments
• Emailing customer invoices daily
• Providing customers with requested documentation
• Reception
• Filing & archiving
• Maintaining office supplies
• Processing credit card payments
• Emailing remittances
• Various reports
• Other related duties as required or assigned

Skills and Experience Required:

• 2 years of experience in accounting and administration with understanding of AP
• English communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Superior time management, accuracy, attention to detail and prioritization skills
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
• First class customer service
• Proficient in MS Office
• Team player
